Today’s pattern is a lovely little number featuring crocheted flowers on an easy to construct baby dress. A perfect little summer getup for your perfect little baby girl.
This little dress is crocheted in a few pieces–the front, the back, and the flowers. Then it is seamed and the flowers attached. Pretty straight forward, the shaping on the dress is very basic. And fun to crochet because the flowers are all just a little bit different and interesting. There are both written instructions and crochet charts for the bigger flowers–the smaller ones are so simple that they’re just done with written instructions.
Crocheted from just part of one of Miss Bab‘s enormous skeins of Yowza–seriously, these beautifully hand dyed giants go a long long way. Even if you were to make the largest size you’d probably have enough left over to make a matching hat, booties, and bloomers to boot. These skeins are impressive. Not to mention soft as all get out, and machine washable. IE the perfect yarn for baby stuff. Or anything, really. The light worsted weight is also very pleasant to work with.
I’m looking forward to getting back out in the sunshine, how about you?
