I decided to name this baby sweater dress pattern “rainy day” because it has been quite rainy around here lately, and the grey seemed appropriately related to rainy days. In fact, it was raining when I took it outside to photograph it. I don’t dismay about rainy days, they can be the most beautiful days, and I love being indoors and cozy while listening to the pitter patter on the roof. And what better for baby to wear on a rainy day than a warm little knit dress?
This pattern features a few simple details that I just love, like the cute little front pleats.
And the super simple but perfect little neckline.
It is very easy to make–the trickiest part is the pleating and I wrote a tutorial for that so you should have no problems. It also makes use of short row shaping, but I have a whole roundup of tutorials to help you with that. So if you’re a beginner, have no fear! You can do this.
This little baby sweater dress pattern is the 1/4 mark for this whole project. Hey-O! It was created with yarn supplied by Spud & Chloe, one of my favorite yarn companies <3
I hope you all had a lovely Holiday, I probably won’t see you back here until after the new year
